Let's Work Together as a Team
Hello! I'm Parker, a board-certified and licensed behavior analyst. I have been working in behavioral science for ten years, and I have a strong passion for using it to help people make meaningful change.
When explaining who I am and what I do, I often like to talk about the "Two Mountains." It’s the idea that you are on your mountain, climbing through your own unique challenges, and I am on mine. I am not on the top of my mountain any more than you are on the top of yours. My training and passion for ACT and behavioral science allow me to use my vantage point to help others navigate obstacles as they traverse their mountain, not because I’ve already reached the top, but simply because I have a different perspective.
After a decade in behavioral science, I’ve learned that my training doesn't make me a perfect climber, and being a clinician doesn't mean I'm at the top of my mountain. However, it has given me a deep understanding of the mechanics of the climb, as well as the tools to help get unstuck when encountering challenges. My goal is to work with you as a team to share those evidence-based tools. My approach combines discussion, psycho-education, and active skill building to help you develop the tools needed to navigate difficult situations, thoughts, and feelings.
---------------Services Offered---------------
Limited number of sliding scale spots available
--Individual ACT for Adults--
I offer individual clinical behavior analysis (CBA) with acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) services for adults (18 and older). Together, we will address your challenges and identify specific goals related to your personal values, focusing on learning skills that will help move you toward the life you want to live. I work with those facing a range of challenges, such as:
- Feeling 'stuck' in loops of worry, overthinking, or restlessness
- Experiencing a desire for personal growth
- Experiencing low motivation, social withdrawal, or feeling disconnected from what used to matter
- Difficulty with rigid mental patterns, impulsivity, or struggling to stay present in the current moment
- Navigating difficult past experiences that continue to show up as unwanted thoughts or behaviors that no longer serve you
- Navigating significant life transitions, burnout, interpersonal difficulties, challenges with sleep, parental burnout, or emotional struggles
Therapy doesn't need to last forever, or even a long time. While I offer ongoing services on a weekly, biweekly, monthly, or as-needed basis, for those interested in receiving brief services, I also offer Focused-ACT (FACT) as a brief, minimalist approach. Treatment with this approach is problem-focused and typically requires 2-6 sessions.
For those interested, I offer PsychFlex to all of those who work with me, free of charge. PsychFlex is a therapy companion app where I can send you additional exercises and resources to compliment and supplement the work we do together. See https://psychflex.com/for-clients/ for more information on PsychFlex.
--Parent Consultation, Curriculum, and Support--
I provide structured support for caregivers of neurodivergent (autistic, ADHD) children. We'll utilize a multi-phase curriculum, moving from skills that help you connect with your child to advanced behavioral management.
Being a parent is hard, so along the way, you'll also have the option for individual ACT services to help you navigate personal challenges and caregiver burnout. For those seeking consultation with less structure, I would love to hear about how I can best support you and your family.
-------Payment Information-------
I operate as a private-pay practice and do not offer superbills. Because behavior analytic services typically require extensive prior authorizations from insurance companies which often results in months of waiting for your first appointment and are often restricted to specific diagnoses, I choose to remain outside that system. This allows us to focus entirely on your clinical goals and values without the administrative barriers or diagnostic requirements imposed by insurance carriers. HSA/FSA is accepted. I also have a limited number of sliding scale spots available.
ACT is a transdiagnostic, functional behavioral approach. This means the treatment is not limited to a specific mental health diagnosis. I will help those with and without formal diagnoses.
