Types of Support
For Parents as Parents
Whether your child only recently received their diagnosis or was diagnosed a while back, we’re here to walk alongside your family with practical strategies support, and personalized plans to help your child thrive.
-
Perhaps you have a young child or one who’s still developing language skills, and you wonder how to connect more deeply. Maybe you’re going through a tense period and want to rebuild closeness, or you simply want more tools for nurturing your relationship. We can explore practical, age-appropriate strategies for strengthening connection.
-
Learn evidence-based strategies rooted behavior analysis, enhanced milieu teaching, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
-
We’ll use a functional behavioral approach to understand your child’s behavior and work together to develop practical, family-centered support strategies.
-
Children on the autism spectrum are much more likely than their typically developing peers to experience sleep problems before adolescence. If your child has difficulty falling asleep, doesn’t get enough sleep, or wakes frequently and struggles to return to sleep, we can help by offering an evidence-based behavioral sleep treatment.
For Parents as People
Our work together will offer a compassionate, judgment-free space to explore caregiving burnout and the many other challenges life brings.
-
Feeling 'stuck' in loops of worry, overthinking, or restlessness
Experiencing low motivation, social withdrawal, or feeling disconnected from what used to matter
Difficulty with rigid mental patterns, impulsivity, or struggling to stay present in the current moment (i.e., getting lost in thoughts)
Navigating significant life transitions, burnout, interpersonal difficulties, or challenges with sleep
-
Do you feel stuck, unsure what you want your life to be about or perhaps experiencing a desire for personal growth, but unsure what that looks like?
We’ll make room to pause and explore with what really matters to you and learn skills that help people move from living reactively and impulsively to living with intention and purposeful action. Together, we’ll move the emphasis off who you feel pushed to be and toward living in ways that truly fulfill you through discovering your own values.
The Process
What to expect
15-Minute Consult
A free, zero-pressure video introduction to chat about what you are looking for, ensure we are a good match, and answer any logistical questions you have.
1
Initial Session
Our initial session will be longer than our ongoing sessions. This is so we can spend time discussing what brings you in for services more in-depth while still having time to discuss our goals and directions we’d like to move together.
2
Ongoing Sessions
I recommend ongoing sessions on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Sessions will be flexible. After our first session, I’ll suggest a plan to meet our goals, but we can change it anytime to address new challenges.
3
Maintenance or Discharge
As we feel that we’re making progress towards your goals, it can often be helpful to move from a weekly or bi-weekly schedule onto a monthly or as-needed schedule. Or if you feel ready, we will conclude services. When services conclude, remember, my door is always open!
